Meetings with Members

The Claws'n'Paws Volunteers & Supporters Group meets regularly starting with Tea/Coffee, currently at the Summerhill Visitor Centre, Hartlepool.

Claws'n'Paws Committee Members and  Volunteers & Supporters Group Team Leaders and Members at the Meeting held on 23rd April 2010. Induction Training was launched at this event (with the help of the www.paulrnugent.com/oasis initiative) for all current and future volunteers who help with our work.

The Volunteers and Supporters group consists of registered members and local residents who have made donations or who help rescue birds or animals locally. The group is presently chaired by ClawsnPaws Vice Chair Paul Nugent but other committee members are elected every year from among the group's members. The group has its own Terms of Reference to abide by and provides Claws n Paws with Trained Volunteers & Fund Raising Support, Help and feedback on a whole host of issues. Members can also join one of the many Volunteer Teams who help Claws n Paws on a day-to-day basis. eg: Members can join the RESCUE TEAM or the ADMIN TEAM, or the FUND RAISING TEAM. Maybe your forteit is that you could assist the DIY MAINTENANCE & SECURITY TEAM and help maintain and protect the site and its infrastructure. Other teams are also developing as the Group grows.

There's always something YOU can do to help, right down to simply turning up and buying a raffle ticket or becoming a regular donor, foster carer or re-homer.

Claws'n'Paws Management Committee Meetings

These meetings take place usually once a quarter. The MANAGEMENT STAFF of Claws n Paws, run the Project under the Constitutional Rules of the Charitable Organisation. The Management Committee currently consists of 6 members who were all elected at the Claws n Paws inaugural meeting in March 2009, and adopted in July 2009.

At the Annual General Meeting, on 29th July 2010, (see side panel for details of meetings) all fully paid up Claws n Paws members on the fully registered Claws n Paws membership list, can attend and vote (if aged Over 18).

Members of the ClawsnPaws Volunteers & Supporters Group are invited to become fully registered members of Claws n Paws itself if they wish to be even more involved and have voting rights within the running of the main organisation.
